MIDDLESEX COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS

 

POSITION TITLE:  Car Driver
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  10 month
FLSA:  Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO:  Supervisor of Transportation
(Each driver shall be directly responsible to the principals of the schools he/she serves on matters related to student discipline and patron relations)

 

PRIMARY FUNCTION: To transport students safely, efficiently and economically to and from school on a daily basis and to extracurricular events on a non-regular basis.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicant must
1. Hold a high school diploma or GED certificate.
2. Submit at least two references attesting to the applicant's ability, character and personal qualification.
3. Meet car driver certification requirements.
4. Meet state requirements for appropriate licensing.
5. Meet state physical examination requirements.
6. Meet local or state standards for driver record check.
7. Meet local or state standards for driving test.
8. Possess the ability to operate all vehicle types used in transporting students.
